How it works: Vikane® is a gas that is introduced into a sealed structure (like a home or a specific chamber). It replaces oxygen and penetrates every crevice, reaching hiding places like behind walls and in bedding. The gas kills bed bugs and termites at all stages, including eggs. 

• Preparation: Before fumigation, the area must be prepared, including evacuating all people, pets, and plants. Food, medications, and other sensitive items are also secured. 
• Tenting: A tent is typically used to seal off the area being treated, ensuring the gas doesn't escape. If only furniture or belongings are being treated, a truck, trailer, or fumigation chamber can be used. 
• Release of the fumigant: Vikane® gas is released into the tented area. 
• Aeration: After the exposure time, the tent is removed, and the area is aired out to allow the gas to dissipate.
